Shop bought v hand-created using Araldite

Do you ever feel that you often hunt around the shops for what seems like ages, looking for that perfect gift and yet come away with nothing?

And sometimes do you feel the creative touch would be much better?

Have you made any presents before that you thought would be great ideas for others to tackle too, something that inspires you to keep on making perhaps? With Araldite the possibilities are endless.

And Araldite can be used for not only gifts, but events and big occasions throughout the year that can do with the homemade creative touch.

Halloween is a great occasion to create, build and make some really fantastically inspired creepy gifts and decorations for your home and garden.

Christmas needs no introduction – and the sooner you plan what you’d like to make and the sooner you can make it, then Christmas wont have that ‘rushed’ feeling. It also beats having to head into the crammed shops with a zillion other shoppers all after the easy buy option.

Then there are the birthday names of people you know – even a handmade card can say more than a shop bought gift. Using scraps of paper, beads and glitter, you can often find the simplest decorations are the most creative.

Then there are gifts themselves – what about decorating a terracotta flower pot with some ribbon, gluing the ribbon around to ensure a tight fit and putting a brooch or feature piece on the join to hide the ribbon coming together.

If you’ve got an idea that you have made using Araldite or a gift creation coming up you want advice on, it is as simple as dropping us a line and getting in touch.

How do you know the best blogs to follow

Blogs, micro- blogs, tags...what's in a blog?

With so many bespoke and unique DIY and craft blogs out there, what sites, people and companies are the best ones to follow?

Do you prefer something that is full of ideas, suggestions, or something that is interactive, perhaps one that is a good read, or a blog site that is an all-rounder and has a bit of everything on offer.

And what content is your favourite to read; DIY, home improvement, craft, hobby and model making ideas, print-out template examples and suggestions... the list is truly endless.

The list we have on the right-hand side of our blog page is just a selection of blogs that we think might prove useful for you and all your DIY and making and mending activities - perhaps you can suggest some others that really stand out from the crowd and provide practical and insightful information for everyone to read. We will gladly include them on the list if we think they would be relevant.

Let us know too what you'd like the Araldite blog to provide and include - ideas are always welcome.

Thanks,

The Araldite team.
